Fall Time, Cozy Time Tag // Where’s my hot chocolate?

Hi my friends! Happy fall! Can we believe it’s already October? Honestly, good riddance 2020.

Anyways, I’ve been frustrated that northern Illinois is undecided on what season it wants to be. Some days (like today) it’s 55 and overcast, but then the next it’ll be 80 and sunny. Can we pick a side so I an switch out my closet?!

In an effort beg fall to finally come (and stay!!) I’ve decided to do the fall time, cozy time tag today. Nobody tagged me, but that ain’t stoppin me!

Crunching Leaves: choose a book that has reds/oranges/yellows on the cover!

For this one I’m going with this gorgeous book! Felix Ever After has such a stunning cover, which is fitting because it’s such a stunning story! It’s set in New York City and I definitely got summery vibe since the characters spend a lot of time outside, but I can definitely recommend this for any season!

Cozy Sweater: what book gives you the warm fuzzies?

This isn’t super original, but I think any Cassie Clare book would give me the warm fuzzies. They’re just so familiar and comforting, and reading a new story feels like getting to reunite with my favorite characters again and again.

Fall Storm: choose a story that you like to read on a stormy day

This is, admittedly, the only book by Stephen King I’ve read. I read it last winter while in Scandinavia, and so it reminds me of cozy, rainy days. The spooky setting is also just really great for a nice day curled up in bed during a storm!

Cool Crisp Air: what's the coolest character you'd want to trade places with?

My baddie, Bryce Quinlan. I think the world she lives in is SO neat and she’s just so unapologetically awesome? I’d love to live her life and interact with her friends and family and just be her, please and thank you.

Hot Apple Cider: what underhyped book do you want to see become the next biggest, hottest thing?

Okay I’m stumped. I don’t read a lot of underhyped booksm mostly because I get most of my recommendations from platforms like YouTube and Twitter and book blogs, so they tend to be more well-known books! Help me: what’s an underhyped book I should read??

Coat, Scarves & Mittens: what's a book cover that you don't like/want to cover up in public?

This cover literally pains me to look at. It’s so sexual but also looks so kinky?? I don’t read creepy fantasy smut (or do I…?), I promise. I generally don’t like books with people on the cover, but that’s a story for a whole other post.

Pumpkin Spice: what's your fall time comfort food?

Oh jeez. This fall, it’s currently Starbucks Pumpkin Bread. SO delicious, wow. I only get it like once every other week though because it’s definitely a treat, haha! I also love peppermint mochas, but those are more of a winter-y treat than a fall one. I think November is an appropriate time to order it – bring it faster, please!

Well that’s it for this tag, friends! Please please feel free to do it if you’re in the mood to answer some fall-y questions, consider this me ~officially~ tagging you! (:

What are your favorite fall books? What’s your go-to fall treat?

This is such a fun tag!! I love the fallish header and theme you have going on! Also some great book recs 🙂 I totally agree the weather needs to figure out what it is doing. Do I take my sweaters out or is it still tank top weather?? Who knows *sighs*

Although I live in the tropics I’ve been indulging in some PSL’s a Starbucks lately because I just love it! That’s about as “fall/autumn” as we get here though 😂 That Felix Ever After cover is so gorgeous! Those are some of my favourite colour combos and it reminds me of the cover for With the Fire On High (which I’m sorta reading now). Awesome tag and answers! I’m gonna keep this on my tags list for whenever I feel like a quick/fun tag.

Can’t go wrong with a good PSL honestly, I’m thinking I might need one this afternoon! 😂 Ooohh With the Fire On High is a gorgeous cover, and so so fall! Would love to read your answers for this! ♥

The weather is also undecided where I live, it’s now currently 90 to 100 every day this week…so not the vibe.
Have you read the Lost Book of the White yet? Based on reviews I’ve seen I think that I’ll try listening to it on audio. I’m cracking up at your comments on the Radiance cover. I have so many questions about that book based on that cover 😂 What’s going on there??? I don’t really have a favorite fall treat, but I intend on consuming all the fall treats this year to figure it out.

Ugh no!! We’re so over this warm weather, gimme fall!

I DESPISE that cover like who decided that THAT was a good thing to put on the front of a book?? Absolutely not. I have read LBOTW, the audio is wonderful, hopefully you love it!! ♥ ♥

This tag is the absolute cutest omg!! Also YES SAME, the weather here won’t decide either and it literally gave me flu for the last week 🙁

Anyways, LOVED reading this post so much. Really wish we had fall where I live hehe. Omg wow that Radiance cover seriously is so cringe so I get you. Love those lil graphics btw

Ohhh no, not the flu! 🙁 The worst. Isn’t it disgusting?? Like great story, horrible image! But what can ya do *sigh* hope you’re well love!! ♥ ♥

This is such a lovely Tag, I loved reading your answers! 😊 The cover of Felix Ever After truly has such a colorful, stunning cover. I also still haven’t read Crescent City and I really need to, but the length is a bit intimidating 😮

  • Joss @maybeivereadit

I completely agree with you on Cassandra Clare books. Everytime I pick up one of her book (or reread one of them for the 100th time), I feel like I’m coming home. Aaaah everyone is shouting at me to read Crescent City. It must be really good then. Can’t wait to meet Bryce and Hunt!
